Resting in God

Hey everyone its Leeland here!! Im on the bus headed to Houston to pick up the rest of the guys for some shows this week in Texas!! I hope this finds you well! I pray that all of you are happy and encouraged about the future that God has for you!! Today in the studio while song writing we began to just worship God together and rest in HIs presence. I haven't felt the Love of Jesus that strong in a long time. It was so strong that I started to weep and cry. I just heard the spirit of God say that we need to find time to rest in Him. Some times I think we can get so busy and our days can get so full that there is no room for the refreshment that we receive from the presence of God. After Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights the bible says that angels came and ministered to Him (Matthew 4:11) . We don't have to prove ourselves to Him, and we don't have to make ourselves appear strong enough. It's actually in our weakness that were made strong through Him. Were already qualified to be His son or daughter through Jesus and what He did on the cross. So make sure and find time in your day to sit back and with arms wide open receive His love. I love you and Jesus love you oh and He's proud of you!!

Be blessed everyone see you soon!!

Thank you so much for writing that, you see right at this moment I am in Florida and my older brother is in California in the ICU, it looking like this might just be it for him and the Lord is going to take him home, but it was a nice reminder to know that God is the one who gives us strength during our weakness and right now I feel very weak. Please pray for our family and for my brother John if it's his time let the Lord give us peace to say Goodbye and if it's not let the Lord help him to recovery. I have come to realize God will get the glory not matter what happens. Thanks for reading this.

Steven Curtis Chapman wrote the song that uses these words,
"His strength is perfect, when our strength is gone. He'll carry us when we can't carry on. Raised in His power the weak become strong. His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect."
(I can hear you guys doing this song btw!)
Rest Lee, Mike, Jake,Jack, & Matt - knowing that the alto lady in the SOULFEST choir is always interceding for you with the Savior.
In Him, Mona

Thank you for inspiring text! It made me realise that I definitely need more time with Jesus and time to rest in Him. I've been so tired and worn out lately...Btw your music is refreshing, and it brings me closer to His presence, so thank you all! Keep playing and praising the Lord!

Be blessed :)

P.S. Would you come in Finland some day?

Hey brothers, it is true, we need to rest in God. This is the secret. Being in his arms and receive the love of Jesus. Jesus is the source, he is the inspiration. He is the reason for our song. May God bless you more and more. Stay in Him. May you are full of sweet presence of the Holy Spirit every day. In the love of the Father. Love you brothers.

This blog is awesome! I love this about God, being in His love like resting, it's something in my own life that God wants me to know. It's hard for me to do that a lot of the time, like to know that it's not about me and what I do, and especially when i have hard stuff going on. but i know He really wants to break all that stuff down! i really admire you guys and what you do, i was so pumped to meet you in plymouth last month! keep being awesome, and writing heaven sent songs! all my love, ~Lydia

I totally agree, getting lost in worship is so amazing. God is still working among the youth of this world and I pray that this next album carries a greater anointing than anything you guys have ever done. To reach and minister to more people with the awesome news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you guys for allowing God to use and minister through you, you guys are a true blessing! God Bless

Hey Leeland, I am familiar with the love that you took the time to experience. That love from Jesus is always there for us, always just as strong. It depends on us and how in tune we are to be able to feel it. How we receive it is up to us. It is so hard sometimes to stand still. Life can be so demanding of us. It's sad, and surely saddens God when we are out of touch. I thank God for our weaknesses to bring us back to the presence of Him. Your right, we need to find time every day to spend time with God. I pray for you all while you are writing new songs. I pray for your stillness and rest as He fills your songs with new messages of love, hope, joy and grace for all of us to hear. I am so thankful that you use the gift God has blessed you with to reach the world. Imagine if everybody was that unselfish. It would be like heaven. I pray for all of us that attend your shows and hear you songs, I pray that God's love is received by all. Thanks so very much for sharing your gift.

Bless you all,
Julie Andrez, MI

That's so great! Sometimes the best worship times are when you're alone, away from others, so it's just you and God, and no one else to distract you. We all need that.

That's awesome! :) Last week in GCB was really cool. we sang a song (I'm not sure what it was called) and the lyrics went something like, "I want to live for you, go where you need me! I wanna follow you..." "I will go, I will go, I will go Lord send me to the world, to the lost, to the poor and hungry..." and it was so awesome!!!! God just spoke to me once again... as I get older I want to be involved in going on missionary trips and being an intern at Capital, so that song was so great to sing. Ever since new years night God has spoken to me... It's so great how amazing he is!!!!

God Bless Leeland!

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!!!!!!!! Taking time for Him and for yourself, family and each other (if you have a mate or are married) is the biggest message that God has been sending to my house. I'm so thankful that we have such a loving and faithful God. Prayers and love and God's blessings are always prayed upon you. Can't wait for the new music.
