Please Pray

UPDATE

Thanks for all the prayer! You guys are amazing. The storm packed a punch. All of our houses are ok... but our church sustained a lot of damage. Some people lost homes and even more have flood damage. I'll dedicate a full post to this when I know more details.

Thanks again for being the body of Christ and stepping up in prayer.

talk to you soon.

Hey guys and gals. First of all, thanks for the amazing response on the last post! We've been reading your comments and it's so inspiring to see our generation dreaming big.

We wanted to ask you guys to really pray for us. There was a mandatory evacuation issued in Houston yesterday, so we had to leave our homes. This hurricane could be really really bad, and it's headed straight for us. Prayer works, so we're asking that you guys pray that our homes and churches stay safe and don't get flood or wind damage.

We'll be in Idaho this weekend. Will post an update soon.

Thanks.

-jack

I've been praying for safety and protection, but consider yourselves & families prayed for.
May he keep everyone safe under the shadow of his wings.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; the Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."
Psalm 46:1-2,7

Just wanted to say that when the Tsunami hit Sri lanka, there was a church left standing amongst heaps of houses which were left as rubble! It was only God who could have possibly done that.
Pray that God does exactly the same thing in your situation! Our God is a God of protection, able to keep you guys safe and secure.

I'm a youth minister at a church in Ohio, and our whole congregation will be praying for the people in TX (one of our elders is on vacation there now actually as well). God Bless!

Hey Guys!
I'll be praying for your safty and of the others down there!!
You have to watch for tornadoes and such so I pray the Lord will protect you all from those too.
I also pray the Lord would be glorified in this storm...that He would show Himself to people in whatever the storm does. He has caused storms to settle down and He also uses storms (not only weather storms but storms in life) to draw people to Himself! :)
So I pray that He would do that!
I pray that He will give you all the peace that passes all understanding too.
Love you guys and I send hugs.

I am in Florida and when the Hurricanes were coming I made signs for all my windows and I now stand with believers of Christ on the Word. As it is written, " And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it FELL NOT: For it was FOUNDED UPON THE ROCK" Matthew 7:25 Jesus is OUR ROCK!!! I am in agreement with you on the safety of your homes, church and friends and family ....

Hey guys. Will definitely be praying for you, your family, friends, loved ones and community. There is a bible verse that I would like to share with you that I always cling to because it seems to apply to any problem I face, and that is Daniel 10:19.
"God loves you very much. Do not be afraid. Calm yourself. Be strong." Also, Job 1:21 "God gives. God takes. God's name be everblessed." And Phillipians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Hope these bless your heart and wish you guys safe travels during this time of bad weather and always. -Summer

Wow! We will be keeping you and the rest of Houston in our prayers. God is good, and faithful... but unfortunately we still live in an imperfect world. Don't be discouraged if some things do get damaged. God will provide for your needs. Lord, protect the families and homes of our friends there in Houston. You are the Father of all things and we know that you can control this hurricane. So Lord we ask that you will keep them in your hands and carry them through this time. This is asked in the name of Jesus, Amen. God Bless. SHEENA

I will definitely pray. I have been very inspired by your music over the last couple years and believe that your band is standing up for God and is not afraid to profess Him. I was reading Isaiah the other day when it said in Isaiah 59:1 " Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:"

He hears your prayers, and the prayers of those that put Him first. Man we serve an awesome God. Continue to do what you do. Come back to atlanta soon!

Lord, I pray for Jack, Leeland, Jake, Mike and Matt. Please protect them and their families and friends in this trying time. We all know that you are in control, and pray that your will be done in this situation.

Give them peace in their hearts, and unite them even more as a band. I thank you for what they do, and pray that this time would be a growing expereince for them, in whatever way you have planned.

Take away any fear or anxiety, and take them into your shelter. Give them a comfort that they have never experienced before. Bless them beyond expectation.

Abba, I ask that anyone who is reading this now will come into agreement with me. Lord only you hold the wind and the waves. Only you can save and only you are bigger than our biggest fear. I ask right, now rght here that you would rush in and save the day. More than all else I ask that hearts would turn to you and many would be saved. Lord your word says that perfect love casts out fear and I thank you that even though our hearts are troubled we can trust you. You are good all the time. We ask protection on those who are not able to get out of the storm. Emergency works, the poor, the elderly and those who can not care for themselves. Lord make us the Body of Chirst instruments of your peace. And even now before this storm hits we are so aware of the tradgy in Hiait where thousands are homeless, hurgry and dying. Make us to be a people of faith who rush to their aid. Do not allow us to be hearers of the word only. Convict us and give us the direction and courage we need to make a differnce.
I specifically lift up Leeland and their families to you now. I ask that you would provide for all they need so that they may be able to serve you and touch many lives for your kingdom.
