Africa - Blog 1

So... we finally made it to Malawi. After 36 hours of travel we're here! We've only been here for a few hours and God has already started something in our hearts. The second we walked into the football stadium and saw everyone dancing and singing we started crying. There's just something about the joy that these people have. Their thankfulness and praise ushers in the presence of God in such a powerful way.

We sang "Save Your People" tonight and they went crazy! Everyone was jumping up and down and singing as loud as they could. We're playing again Saturday night and Sunday. Thanks for all your prayers and comments... we appreciate it so much.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Love love love!

Amazing!
I think many of us need to get back to that childlike abandonment in worship. So many times we fear other's thoughts of us in worship rather than God's. I am glad to hear God is showing the band so many things already!

I will continue to pray for you guys while you minister in Africa! God has plans!

God Bless :)

I have not been doing my homework! I had no idea you'd be in Africa! Praise God! I am sure that He will be faithful to His Word and finish his work in you all while you're there. I will pray for your physical well being to stay fit and strong as your spirit is grown and stretched through this experience.
Thanks for the updates.

That's awesome! I LOVE the African people...they don't have all the inhibitions and fears that we have, and it seems that just about everyone there who calls themselves a Christian is honestly and completely sold out to Jesus. I'll be praying for all of you, and the people you'll come in contact with. God bless! =]

oh my goodness. i just got back from tanzania (right above malawi) a month ago and i have left a piece of my heart over there. you have no idea what you're in for. you will meet the most amazing people in africa. their faith is so strong and they are so hospitable. they love you just for acknowledging their presence. but im warning you, you will be overwhelmed, you wont know what to do sometimes, but you will become addicted to africa. i promise you that!! I hope you continue to run and do the things God is calling you to do. Dont be afraid. Live out loud! Continue to reach out to those broken people! God is going to bless you so much in this time.
singing with you,
lauren

Wow! Africa...I'm really impressed with the places God is sending you to minister. It's really difficult to see good Christian bands from the States here in Europe, so it's really appreciated when bands make an effort to come here...and in Africa I guess you must be one of the few who have gone there, so I want to thank you from my heart for your predisposition to break out from the confort of staying home and go travel the world sharing your message and ministering people from places where Christian artists from the States are rarely seen.

I'll be definitely be praying for you =] Have a wonderful & blessed time in Africa!

-Josué

PS: Now that you're traveling the globe...why not making a stop in Spain? =P

THAT IS SOOO COOL!!!
I went to malawi this summer with my church and worked with K.I.N.D.L.E!!!
It is such an amazing country, i learned so much about the beauty and wonder of God. There was this one night i remember while I was there, me and a couple of my teammates went outside when it was dark and the whole sky was soooo amazing... You could see EVERYTHING, it was like being in a planetarium in America, but a thousand times BETTER!!!
